WECK® canning jars are made of thick glass to resist boiling and sterilization. They can't rust. Their advantage: they can be used and reused, over and over again! Weck® gaskets are made of natural rubber. When your can is made and properly sterilized, the tongue of the seal leans downwards. This is the visual indicator that your can has been properly sterilized. All pots in the WECK® range are guaranteed BPA-free, lead-free, phthalate-free and PVC-free.
